No matter which alarm system you choose, you’re able to add up to 18 accessories – from extra key fobs for each member of the family, to additional
Door Contact Units, Smoke Detectors and more.
Should anyone break into your home, this wireless motion detector will pick up on it by determining changes in infra-red energy patterns. As soon as this happens, the Hub will alert an Incident Manager within our UK-based Secure Monitoring Station, and they will then take control of the situation. The fact that our Incident Managers are able to instantly communicate directly with an intruder can help minimise any loss or damage. Please also be reassured that the Motion Detector emits no radiation and is harmless to humans and animals.
Your Pro-tect alarm is a doddle to activate thanks to the Remote Key Fob. It allows the Pro-tect Hub to be activated when you go out, and quickly turned off when you return home. A part-set button also allows you to activate or deactivate part of the system. For example, you might only want the downstairs area activated during the night. And don’t worry – setting and un-setting the system only affects intruder alarm monitoring devices; any smoke or carbon monoxide monitoring devices, medical alert or panic buttons are permanently active.
Door Contacts are clever little devices that can tell whether a door is open or closed – helping to detect any intrusion via that door. Here’s how it works – a magnet attached to the door makes a switch in the door contact complete a circuit. If the magnet is removed, the circuit is broken – activating the device. As soon as this happens, the Hub will send a signal to our 24 hour UK-based Secure Monitoring Station, opening up a two-way communication with one of our Incident Managers.
This smoke detector uses an optical sensor, which allows it to "see" smoke, to trigger the alarm. It offers a quick response to visibly smoky fires (e.g. from foam filled furniture), which are likely to be slow and smouldering; typical of home fires. Like a normal smoke detector it will emit a shrill alarm once activated, hopefully alerting anyone on the premises to a potential danger as well as causing the hub to activate and open up communication with the monitoring station.
This shock sensor helps protect window and door surroundings against forced entry, detecting the intrusion through monitoring vibration. A shock sensor is not going to stop an intruder from breaking into a property, but as part of a Pro-tect monitored alarm can minimise any loss or damage.
A Carbon Monoxide Detector detects the presence of the odourless gas by means of an electrochemical sensor. Like most CO detectors a Pro-tect Carbon Monoxide detector emits a shrill noise to alert anyone on the premises, it also activates the hub to contact the monitoring station, allowing us to monitor the situation and where one of our Incident Managers will deal with any evolving situation according to protocols designed to best protect your family and home.
The Panic Pendant is a personal panic button which can be worn around the neck at all times. So, in the event of an emergency, help can quickly and easily be requested by the simple press of a button. Once the button is pressed, it will connect with the Hub.
The Medical Alert Pendant is designed to be worn around the neck. So, in the event of a medical emergency, help can quickly and easily be requested. Once the button is pressed, it will connect with the Hub - as described above. And because round-the-clock medical attention is just a click away, this enables the user to go about their daily lives, confident that help will be on hand if needed.
